Today was the day of pre-operative appointments. We had more questions answered and generally feel ready for the surgery, well, as ready as anyone can be ready for major surgery...
I have been so touched by all the kind notes of concern and the wonderful meals people have brought. It has really helped us get through a very difficult week. How lucky we are to have such a wonderful circle of family and friends.
Bill and I have now adopted a very positive attitude towards surgery this Thursday, Dec. 8. We are very confident in our surgeons, I am strong, young, healthy, physically fit and most of all a fighter. We are going to get this tumor out and get on with our lives.
Please keep the prayers, thoughts, & energies coming. They are very much appreciated.
love,
Emily
Go get 'em! (and remember to wash your hair tomorrow, because it may be a while before you're cleared to do it again afterwards). We're out here rooting for you and on call for anything at all that will help you through this experience. Be strong.

Good look! You all will be in our thoughts!
ReplyDeleteEmily,
ReplyDeleteYou definitely are healthy, strong, and a fighter. Plus you are so good, loving, generous, thoughtful and perceptive: all powerful, indestructible qualitiess. This tumor is outta here, sweet cakes!
May you feel the safe comfort of Love protecting you.

You will be in our thoughts as you move through this trying time. I'm sending lots of positive energy to the surgeons to help them with their task today and for you all to have an open spirit as you get this little bugger out of where he is not wanted! We look forward to getting the next update and that recovery has now begun. If at anytime you want to use our house, call our friend Joyce (217-493-1102) and she can get the keys to you. Our very best.....
