On and on

Hi,

Still here even though I have not been posting much.

I continue to wean off the steroids. I am close to being off of them for a second time and hope it goes much better this time. I continue to have increased numbness, stiffness, and significantly decreased function of my right hand and arm. Walking is also more difficult and I lose my balance more. These are both very frustrating for me. I am trying to stay positive but it is hard sometimes.

I will be having yet another MRI, my 5th I think, next month to check on some fluid build up in my spinal cord since my surgery. They hope it will gradually go away and not cause further problems.

We just got a recumbent bike at home so I am looking forward to being able to exercise more now. I was missing that and also noticing my muscles were really lessening.

Despite the hardships I have been experiencing, I am more independent than I was when I came home from the hospital and I have adapted to many home tasks such that I can do many more things on my own than I could before.
